its so weird that the Texans were never really that good, cause they have had more than a handful of elite players there haha

JJ Watt, Andre Johnson, Aaron Glenn, Arian Foster, Mario Williams just to name a few ridiculous talents who never got a whiff of playoff success

 

TBF Glenn's strategy was effective against the Vikings (not that Darnold was playing well, but Glenn did have a good defensive plan)

2011-2012 seasons were the best chance at a SB, Fat Albert broke Schaub's foot otherwise 2011 could have been a SB run

Andre Johnson was fuckin stupid talented, imagine what he could've done if the Schaub experiment wasn't short lived or if the Texans ever did better than Schaub at QB during his career

 

The biggest thing is that Andre Johnson's prime with good Schaub never lined up with the prime of the Texans defense

They had world beating offenses with god awful defenses until they got the Cushing/Watt combo going and by then Schaub was hurt

 

Kubiak declined bringing in Peyton Manning to stick with Schaub, that was the only shot at an upgrade unfortunately

speaking of punching, I will always love Andre for eating the ejection and the fine and ripping Cortland Finnegan's helmet off during a game and punching him, that guy was always an asshole and I always wished a player would put him in his place, wasn't just that game
