The hire doesn’t really move the needle for me one way or another. Seems pretty clear with the contract that it’s more of a short-term “let’s bring some respectability and build a foundation to this franchise” type of move. It’s fine

The mistake people make with punching is they try to punch someone “on” the face. Not only does stopping at the face expose your hand to more injury because it’s momentum slows right at the point of impact, but it’s also simply not gonna be an effective punch and they’re still gonna have all their bearings to punch you back

if you gotta punch somebody, think more like you’re punching THROUGH their face, as if the target you’re hitting is behind their head, and it’ll affect them more and also affect you less
