Does this not sound like a direct comparison to you? I think I get the point you're trying to make, but sometimes you word things in such a concrete way that you're not saying "this is how I feel" it comes off as "this is the truth and I'm right" and like, we should all be allowed to feel how we want about places we went to.

This seems ridiculous over a European city none of us even live in. Genuinely, who gives a fuck if Randall thinks Amsterdam was lame and who gives a fuck if he doesn't. Feels like we could move on from this

i should just move on but it isn’t simply his opinion on a city being worded as an objective thing. who cares. it’s him refusing to take any accountability for these arguments always happening because he says something flippant and then gaslights everyone into saying that it isn’t his fault they can’t understand what he’s saying when the issue is that he doesn’t articulate his own points well. it is frustrating lol.

Okay but on this topic I learned why there are parts of my neighborhood with "no right turn between 11pm-4am" signs and I'm just like, how tf did you think that would solve anything, you just gave them a sign and hours of operation

 

I just wasn’t that impressed and it wasn’t that shocking or unique of an experience compared to other parts of the world I’ve visited. I’m not comparing them as if they’re the same, im comparing them in the sense that several American cities are just as cool but we’re biased to think anything in Europe is automatically better
