I will be genuinely stunned if Joe Brady is ready to be a head coach by the way. Seems way too early on him.

He's got more OC experience than Coen

McVay had 3 years of OC experience too and was only 30. Brady is 35

I just think we’re too quick to assume good offensive coordinator = good head coach. Hes been a OC for 2.5 years, 1.5 with an alien for a QB. Hes learned under Matt Rhule and Sean McDermott. Not entirely the most compelling resume.

Also there’s objectively a reason he’s only on the radar of the Saints and the Jags lol

I didn’t even realize the Texans play in LA next year guess I gotta go to a game and spend $100 just to park

He was also working in the offense of the greatest college team of all time to be fair

    but yes I agree it’s a risk

Re: saleh, he stunk on a personal level. He isnt fit for the job. He continued to embarrass himself in the media, lost the lockerroom end of year 1, the mike white t shirt shit is NOT something that a hc should openly support. He was a buffoon and a hardo and never backed up anything he said.

he would be an unmitigated disaster as a HC again. A coordinator? Sure fine.

I get that. I just don’t super care lol.

Like it’s fine if people disagree but he did the LSU thing, got some serious hype immediately, went to Carolina where he struggled, goes to Buffalo and now looks like a savant because he has Josh Allen. Just not an attractive profile to me personally. I also think part of this is colored again by him not really being on many radars, and him being heavily considered only after the Jags face slammed as hard as they could on the coaches they really wanted.

Just strikes me as “maaaaybe you should just stick in buffalo for a bit and keep developing.”

Kevin O'Connell was only on the radar of the Vikings and the Broncos and the latter chose Nathaniel Hackett over him

Being a head coach is hard! Especially being a first time head coach.

He was the scapegoat in Carolina and QB coach in Buffalo before they chose him over Dorsey. A top 3 QB saying fire your friend and OC and put this guy in instead is a pretty significant endorsement

…then why did you prefer Coen over him lol.

Like it can’t work both ways lol.

I feel like taking the unknown risk of Joe Brady feels better than taking the proven disaster of Saleh, after already turning your HC search into a mess and missing out on your top 2 options.

    What

  24. MidDave

It can’t be he’s great and awesome and also be a third option that took national embarrassment to get to at the same time is what I’m saying.

But again, I don’t really care and it’s fine if you disagree with me. I think he’d be better served giving it a little more time.

Why can't it be? He is a great candidate. I like Coen more.
