Yeah I’m totally down with him. Those saints defenses were solid even lacking talent. Also wouldn’t have to worry about him being poached because after 2 failed HC stints I don’t think he’d get any more looks there.

The thing that gets me about the Ravens loss is Henry literally got you back into the game why the fuck did you shy back away from him in the fourth quarter

devaluing running backs is so stupid you coulda made the Bills defense way more tired and way less confident had you gone old school and kept riding that momentum

I said it multiple times but I feel like saying it again, Harbaugh’s biggest flaw is if something doesn’t work he immediately overthinks it and goes in another direction. Soemtimes that’s good but if you ALWAYS do that? Teams like the Bills know as long as they get a convincing stop on Derrick Henry once per drive, they have the upper hand cause they no longer have to worry about him continuing to try that and can focus on stopping Lamar

 

Doubling down and being like “nah I bet you won’t stuff Henry twice” and putting that pressure back on them again is smart sometimes, especially when there’s snow out and the ball is slippery (no it’s not a snow game but there was snow lol it’s still smarter to run more than to hope your soemtiems drop-prone TE doesn’t drop a pass in those conditions)

I saw a rumor that Ben wants Allen as his DC wherever he ends up so you may be fighting him for Allen lol. Also some talk that maybe Glenn wants to bring Engstrand with him but that one didn't seem as solid.

 

In general I also didn’t like how Harbaugh said early on this season “Henry isn’t here to take 30 carries a game” and flatly refused to embrace the possibility of “what if it works and keeps working and I’d be a fool to stop giving him the ball”

last I checked Henry went off basically every time he approached or exceeded 25 touches and basically all of your losses he had less than 20

but no, by all means, give the best RB in the AFC only 8 carries in the first half in a game with snow involved, fall behind 21-10 cause you lost TOP and momentum battle, and then get back in the game cause he gets 53 yards on two runs but then stop giving him the ball again after that

it’s weird cause some coaches are inflexible cause they keep doing the same shit, Harbaugh is the opposite, he’s great at spreading the ball around and changing up strategy but he doesn’t fuckin stick with stuff that WORKS and it’s so frustrating lol

 

If Engstrand is offered the job here he’s not leaving. He’s basically been groomed as the successor to Ben this whole time. I’d be surprised if he isn’t named OC shortly after Ben leaves.
