Didn’t Andrew’s drop a 2pt conversion on the same play against the Steelers a year or two ago

 

I woke up just before 8 and finished listening to a podcast while still in bed, then I played some pocket and got my emblem for five consecutive wins

And now I’m getting ready to go out for a walk

 

I feel rather gaslighted lol I thought it was a well known fact that Andrews is very good, almost elite, except he drops way too many passes. But I am unfortunately unable to prove it cause it’s hard to find stat sites that tally drops let alone find drop totals from previous years. This was probably his best season of his career in terms of holding onto the ball

Not gonna find this play to see what happened but this is what I was thinking of

This is what I was looking at all morning, tried to find drops relative to other players but couldn’t

 

I don’t care much about drops. If you get the ball thrown to you a lot, you’re going to drop the ball a handful of times

Yeah I was trying to find other guys with similar targets, like obviously Jamarr Chase has more

 

I’ve also found that when drops are tallied they only tally the most blatant ones. Like, nobody breathed on you and you dropped it. My personal tally of Jags drops, for example, tends to be much higher than the official number. I would consider slightly contested passes drops as well for a player of his caliber if it hit him in the hands.

I do get the logic behind people not caring about drops, I do though, catching the ball is your job so idk

People would care if I stopped team leading at the most important part of my work year

 

The fumble was more egregious than the drop for me. But the timing of the drop is worse.

 

I don’t think anyone was more pissed at Andrews for that play than me and even tho I want to physically fight him (and lose) I have no desire to get rid of him. He’s way too central to our offense and sometimes players make mistakes. He’s a raven for life and, if you ask me, ring of honor caliber guy.

They just really really need to fire John Harbaugh and get a fresh look at HC

Hard to tell anything until there’s something new there

 

AJ Brown and Keenan Allen are two receivers off the top of my head who have gotten some flak for drops, but you can live with those if you’re making the amount of incredible plays that they have throughout their careers.

Also, we has humans are naturally going to weigh drops more heavily, especially in island games. I’m sure if we looked at drops and drop rates around the league, we’d all be surprised in one way or another.

 

Jamarr Chase had more drops than Andrews but I didnt see how many passes were thrown to him.
