After a bad INT and a bad fumble put us behind. Is that what we are, the team that falls behind but hopes to sneak out a win at the end? We should be more consistent and less flukey than the 2022 jags by now

Literally every QB in the league makes a mistake like that because, as we've said a lot, it was more than just Trevor

Yes that's what we are how did it take you this long to notice lol. Trevor has to play perfect because no one else can be consistently relied on

I just really disagree man. Line was fine considering the situation, Kirk didn’t flatten or hesitate the route he just wasn’t open, Xavier predicted what we’d do and it worked cause Trevor locked onto him anyway

Now this I can agree with. But I’m okay with holding our #1 overall, $275M contract, year 4 QB who was dominant in college to a higher standard than most the other guys on the team. It’s time for him to raise the bar above what’s “expected” of the Jags, that’s what we drafted him for

Keep in mind this is coming from a guy who does blame receivers and line for a lot of Trevor’s troubles. If i watch the tape and I think “nah the play looked fine he just made a wrong decision” it’s not a conclusion I jump to lightly. I’d love it to be anyone else’s fault but Trevor’s and he legit hasn’t been as bad as he’s been criticized for this year - but the errors in that game made it one of the 1/3 of examples (or less) where our franchise QB just shoulda been a step ahead of the defense, BEFORE they’re up two scores and dropping into soft zone

Y’all knee jerk reacting, I thought me and @CarpetElf very respectfully disagreed there, that did not go like other fights we’ve had

We talked it out and kept it about the content and didn’t get salty the other person wasn’t agreeing, I thought that was nice football discussion

My eyes just glaze over whenever y’all talk and I just skip to the end lol

I don’t think anyone was saying ya’ll were arguing while you can. But you gotta remember 95% of this chat couldn’t possibly care less about the Jaguars of Jacksonville and 4 straight pages of you guys going back and forth is gonna make the eyes glaze over lol

That’s fair but we’re not just discussing the Jaguars, my view is we are discussing a mistake that separates good QBs from okay ones. This kinda football strategy gets me excited no matter what team it is. But of course I’m especially invested when I’m tryin to see Trevor reach his potential and I’m curious about what is and isn’t his fault.

id think it would be refreshing I’m actually adamantly blaming Trevor and backing THOSE points up instead of galaxy braining why it isn’t his fault lol

    The rivalry is back on

Other than that needing to start 39 year old Joe Flacco is not a good QB solution and you’re down bad for that reason, idk — at the end of the day, I don’t know why someone like a 31 year old Ryan Kelly, a 30 year old DeForest Buckner, or even a Michael Pittman wanting to set himself up for a final nice payday in a couple years would value the long term future of the Indianapolis Colts franchise for short term growing pains over this current season’s outcome and their financial well-beings. I guess if the issue at hand is misaligned incentives between a decent but not elite veteran core and a raw and possibly good but possibly just terrible QB, then that tracks and I agree, but I don’t know that it’s like a big cultural wart with the team or anything either
