Went over my wife’s parents house and we couldn’t pick a new movie so settled on Meet the Parents, a movie I’ve seen 209 times. Still slaps.

plane, greenland, the olympus has fallen trilogy, how to train your dragon series, den of thieves … like them or not (some are dogshit some rule) all of them are theatrical releases that have been successful enough to spin off several different franchises. he isn’t chris hemsworth lol but acting like he’s this generations equivalent to jean claude van damm or something is crazy.

needless to say I’m FUCKIN tired but stoked to enjoy a tour day off and actually staying asleep as long as I want today

 

Didn’t get to see actual Detroit but I am gonna get to see a lot of Cleveland and that will be awesome. Jared got us tickets to see the Cavaliers play the Raptors, and before that we’re going to the Rock and Roll hall of fame. Then we are gonna hit the Cleveland Museum of Art on Friday morning before we head to Akron. @Victor Eremita ill hit you up when I head that way, you work till 5 Fridays yeah?

Also 2 things:

-while we certainly got lucky we didn’t come up here when it was -6 degrees outside, a Midwest 18 degrees 100% feels warmer than a northeast 18 degrees with that ocean breeze keeping the air humid in the winter. I honestly would believe that Boston feels colder than Chicago despite Chicago having lower temps.

however

-my sinuses FUCKING HATE dry air omg I did not anticipate having this much nose irritation, every artery for snot is frozen shut

pluses / minuses. My nose now burns and my upper lip feels like it’s made of plastic but at least I can say I’m driving through snow and internalizing the “holy SHIT it’s cold outside” while we have to pack the car / while smoking a joint etc pretty well for a Florida boy

I should be done work around 3 pm Friday. The Cleveland Museum of Art is great, glad you’re seeing that while you’re there. Hopefully the drive down to Akron is easy and snow free. I’d avoid rush hour out of Cleveland if you can, but it’s not nearly as bad as most cities.
