I think the rankings are correct now with respect to Clemson. They’re not a playoff team if the season ends today, but a win over SC should probably push them in as the ACC’s second team over in place of the eventual loser of the ACC Championship

With 12 teams im not gonna be upset whoever doesn't make it. We're letting a lot of meh teams in but teams shouldn't be punished for losing conference champ game

I don't have Clemson in my current top 20 based on resume alone so

Media people seem to be high on Tulane. I assume they watch more ball than I do, so I’m gonna trust them

 

I don't get it. I haven't watched that much but their advanced metrics are just ok

 

Picked the game back up after not playing for a minute to finish the season I was in the middle of.

Undefeated number 1 Georgia Tech just beat Alabama in the sec championship game and fell to 2 for the fiesta bowl against penn state while 1 loss Texas tech takes over the top spot???

 

This lines up with all my experiences in the game

 

All of the talk about Tulane should stop after this game. Team is not serious at all.

I love my small mid major teams but not when it's nonsense like that.

 

Yeah Tulane felt extremely forced. With Army I could at least understand it because so many of the voters are children and think only record matters. Tulane had two losses and I hadn't seen anything that suggested they're a top 20 team. Or even better than Memphis for that matter!

 

Not that it really matters, but what’s your basis on the Clemson/Tennessee order? Not even asking as a Tennessee fan, but as a college football fan that is constantly baffled by your rankings of all teams. It’s just easy for those two (I’ve got about nine head scratchers here) because based on the two common opponents (Georgia and NC State), SOS, SOR, and marquee wins (Tenn vs Bama, Clemson has 0), it seems like they would be switched just based on things you’ve said about other rankings you’ve made in the past.

 

It really just comes down to I trust Cade more than Nico at this point. Same tier though so for the most part they're even. Wouldn't argue if anyone had Tennessee above Clemson either.
