Yeah the ACC already has its fair share of high academic/mediocre sports schools

 

If I’m the PAC 12 I possibly go after some Big Sky Teams over the bottom barrel Mountain West Teams. Montana/Montana State would be a fun addition.

 

Why not just get it over with and add most of the mountain west teams? Like unlv and Nevada seem beyond obvious and at this point. Outside of those 6 teams, sure, I can understand that san Jose st, Wyoming, new Mexico utah st, Hawaii, may not off a lot in terms of market or even quality football... but what else are you going to do?

But if they wanted to be smart....yeah, you gotta add Gonzaga for basketball. And then sure if you wanted to be more clever, North Dakota state for football only but outside that?

Utsa. Tulsa, North Texas?

 

They can have Colorado back

 

B1G will take Colorado, the schedules have been getting a bit too tough

 

If Oregon cant handle non-con games in the B1G, Colorado is toast

 

Its just funny how proactive the big12 was in the wake of their demise and how utterly incompetent the pac was.

 

Big 12 was only proactive after Bob Bowlsby left. He wanted to keep it at 10 teams.

Also PAC12 isnt a power conference anymore

 

I would've been so pumped for BSU joining the PAC12 a decade ago, and now it's like whatever.

 

Yeah that would’ve been cool when it was a real conference

 

Now that we’re in a post-geography conference structure, PAC-12 should probably pillage the best of the mid-country AAC teams to hit their 8-10. Something like:

Washington St
Oregon St
Boise St
Colorado St
San Diego St
Fresno St
Memphis
UTSA

maybe Tulane and UNLV if you want to get to 10? UConn and USF seem fine if they want to completely throw geography to the wind. And definitely Cal and Stanford if the opportunity ever arises again

 

Montana, Montana St, North Dakota St, and South Dakota St would be super fun if they took the leap together and joined whatever remains of the Mountain West since it’ll probably get watered down to their level of football prowess and investment
