Tennessee had their surprise surplus Nike gear and field worn jersey/helmet sale today. They’ve done it three times now and it’s always a madhouse because of the collectors going for the helmets and jerseys.

In 2019, I got $1600 worth of Nike gear for $260. In 2022, I got $1500 worth of Nike gear for $320. In 2025, I got $1400 worth of Nike gear for $400. They obviously upped the prices a bit, but it’s such a good deal, especially on like coaches rain jackets and other more expensive items. Always really easy to pick up things for my family, too, which inflates the numbers. Like I got a $105 jacket for $25 for both me, my best friend, and my mom.

Haven’t really heard of any other schools doing this. Has anyone else?

 

Georgia tech doesn’t even sell good retail gear to their fans, couldn’t imagine getting actual cool shit lol.

I did get a pair of the hawks on court warmup pants one year for like 70% off or something because they had switched uniforms

 

My friend who has the Tech tickets was telling me he was jealous. I bought him a polo for the game vs Syracuse. The merch at the NCST game last year was so bad. I eventually want to get a Tech shirt or hat or something for when I do go with him. Though, in 2026, I’ll definitely be in that beautiful, hideous orange for that one.

 

Duke does this. It's a pretty cool way to get athlete-only gear since a lot of the stuff is never available to non-athletes. They have some really cool helmet options as of lately so it's pretty exciting.

I assume his number stuff was on the jersey rack, but it was a flat fee for all game worn apparel, first come first serve on numbers and colors. All of the jerseys and helmets were way out of my budget range. I want to say the white helmets were $300, the orange helmets were $300, the black helmets $300, and the smoky grey with mountain range were $1000? I think the jerseys were in the $100-$150 range? Had all four uniform colors.

well conference championship games just got a little less relevant and watchable. You can now get a bye without winning the conference championship. Boo. See the trees through the forest my friends (or something like that). Cant wait to see all the people crying when justifiably so the top teams bench their star players for that game.
