Absolutely excellent first playoff. Excellent. Ohio State is as strong as it gets as national champion. This was a great year to do this too because there really wasn't that 1 or 2 dominant no doubt teams this year, it was a bit of a crap shoot at the top.

As i said before, a good blend of quirky teams, variety of conferences, terrible games, great games, and in the end....a totally no doubt champion.

 

The still got 5 team, 6 team, maybe 14 team. Lots of options.

Freeman is nothing like Kelly. He’s already won more big games than Kelly did at ND. Kelly never won a new years six bowl. Freeman technically won 2 with how the playoffs are set up. Also they didn’t get embarrassed today like Kelly did in his national championship game

 

I agree with everything you said, which is why it was disconcerting to see him not go for it there. Whatever it didn’t end up being decisive obviously

i’d make him coach for life right now if he wants it. If there’s a better college football coach out there, we’re not gonna get them anyway.

I think Ohio states goal line defense played into that decision but like you said it didn’t end up mattering anyways
