I hate the bubble year/playoffs because of how weird, strange and one-off it was (for all sports but especially basketball and hockey that year) and because you could make the case it was the most sterile and even of situations.

Every team had the long break before play resumed, so injured players had time to rest and come back (not all of course) and no team had home court advantage since there were no fans (or very limited fans? Can’t remember). So it was as close to “just go play ball and see who wins” as we’ll probably ever get.

You have to think Portland could've gotten more for Simons if they'd traded him a year or two ago. Paying this version of Holiday that much for the next 2-3 seasons is gonna be rough.
