That's a ton of firsts for Bane. The 2026 Phoenix swap especially could be very good depending on how much the Suns opt to blow things up themselves. I have to imagine Orlando isn't done yet, because while Bane is solid, a starting backcourt with him and Suggs has some of the same issues they had last year. Namely that Suggs isn't a point guard. And that's before you factor in how rough/top-heavy their cap sheet is about to get. I wouldn't be surprised to see them deal Suggs, too.

 

Keep it going Orlando! Let this just be the first piece this off-season.

Yeah, the Grizz part of this is TBD for me rn. On paper, they got a really nice haul. But also on paper, I don’t get shipping out Bane. He’s such a good player and is a good fit for pretty much every single team. I need to see what they’re up to and what the plan is before I praise it too heavily. Because it kinda doesn’t make sense to me.

Im all for dumping Suggs if we got Trae out of it. Don't see the Hawks going for it though, especially being in same division.

This trade just solidifies my thought even more that I really don’t understand why dudes aren’t jumping on signing vet minimums to play with Jokic. That now makes Bruce and KCP who both won a ring and got massive paydays playing alongside my boy, only to be salary dumps less than a year later
