Im catching up so forgive the tardiness, but this post alone just earned the Pacers one more win.

His career is so funny. Unquestionably one of the top-3 players of his generation, and just can not make it work anywhere.

what do you call the two title teams in Golden State if not making it work

I mean they won a title without him too. He’s a star without a home franchise

    that i fully agree with

they won two without him sure but there was a pretty undeniable jump between the 2015 and 2016 teams and the 2017 and 2018 ones. 2022 is still one of the weirder titles in recent memory.

that 2017 team might be the best team I remember watching

How much longer is he even going to play? The “commit to these teams long term” stuff is dumb

i mean he can probably go as long as lebron has especially since he hasn't had to worry about putting playoff miles on the last few years lol

I also wouldn't call his style of play particularly physical, he can probably sustain it longer

  16. Athletic article makes it sound like maybe Houston hasn’t offered Jabari yet. If they do, he’s definitely gonna be a Rocket

A sweet tag along? They were already champs and while he got two with them, he and Draymond almost ended up murdering one another lol

It’s just interesting how often he’s the lead of the rumor mill compared to other stars of his time.

Those GS teams the years they won with him I don’t think win unless he was there.

I think what I’m focusing on is the circumstances of his departure. LeBron has played for the same number of teams but everytime he’s left it’s been mostly about him just wanting to do something else. With KD it seems it’s always a “this just isn’t working out” thing whether it be him and Draymond, how the suns wanna play, etc etc

    Right?

  21. Max_123

    Nope. Supporter

Not the same number of teams but I get Dave’s point

  22. I think I do, that part threw me off. Just on how he’s perceived with the relationship to the teams. The success at each stop too has been wildly variant.

Cleveland feels like two separate stops if you think about it

If Jabari gets out of Houston I feel like he has a real breakout year

Was counting Cleveland twice. Should have said departures instead

correct - it is under discussed how much better the cavs were those two years than the first two as well, even then the year they won it
