Do Spurs fans want Durant? I know it might be a dumb question. But I don’t think it’s a good idea tbh. They have such a big window with Wemby, it’s ok to stay somewhat patient. I guess it depends on the price. But it just seems like everyone who acquires Durant last few times ends up disappointed.

 

Yeah, they have the #2 pick too coming in. There is zero reason for them to rush anything unless it’s just dirt cheap

 

Like they just acquired Fox which wasn’t a bad trade or anything. But a few months later they end up with the #2 pick and a chance to take Harper. If they waited on making a splash, they probably don’t have to trade for Fox and save assets for a different move. You can’t predict that kind of thing but I don’t know. If they rush it too much I could see them getting in a weird spot.

Spurs package for KD is pretty reasonable (at least what’s required to make it work) unless the Suns really push for something outrageous and then at that point maybe Houston steps in and just gives them their picks back. There was a report that Phoenix wanted a center in a potential trade so that leaves…Minnesota?

Vassell + Barnes gets it done salary wise. Throw in #14 and a future first or whatever.
