I'm gonna manifest Pacers in 6 as best as I can, hoping they pull off some off the bench random 9-10 from three games that crumble the Thunder.

It's like a good vs. lucky finals, and it's always better to be lucky. The Mandate of the Basketball Gods shines down on Indiana this year for some reason.

It would also be maximum suffering for stats nerds, media narratives, and especially Kings fans, which I also think is the will of the Basketball Gods.

they dumped all their picks for Bridges

 

this is true but a lot of the reporting has been saying this wouldn’t stop a team that has assets that can keep milwaukee a fringe playoff team in terms of talent and then bring in a third team that can supply them with the picks if the team getting giannis also floats them some assets. it makes it more complicated than just a one-one team trade but it isn’t unheard of

 

i’m less bullish on the trade happening now though bc a lot of the local beat reporters, who i trust on this more than national guys, are saying horst and the team have been pitching giannis on treating this year like a gap year and that this time next year we will be off a lot of our bad contracts and have three first round picks at our disposal so to work on getting him an all star level guy to pair with next offseason. which i’m dubious of their ability to pull that off. and i think it’s time to just cut the cord now. but it does seem like that’s the way it’s gonna go down.
