i mean some of the fouls were pretty egregious lol. i like SGA a lot but his whistle is kind of unlike anyone else's in the league. there are definitely people who are more annoying with fouls like brunson and dame but that's usually from them manufacturing contact and then selling it. there isn't even contact with SGA some of the time. it's a little weird.

 

Dude just contorts his body in a way where he can make anything look a lot worse than it was and the refs kind of just fall for it. It works

 

SGA/Brunson in the finals playing up calls would be basketball terrorism and feels like it’s going to happen

(yes, I know some of it is overblown, but some of the calls are insane lol)

 

I’m sorry Josh but this dude reads like a homer. Yes SGA is incredibly good but it can also be true that his style of play is frustrating to watch as a non-OKC fan. The moment the defender stops being in front of him he creates so much contact and trips himself and it gets called a lot, and a lot of times he’s not even touched. But every team has this dude, and your dude just happens to be on the biggest stage right now. We will hear all about Brunson tonight. Just the way it goes.

 

I’ve posted something similar but like. It’s part of the game. It isn’t basketball terrorism. Getting to the line is good. Am I crazy lol

Idk who that guy works for or if he’s a homer. Ant should try taking more shots at the rim. He’s insanely athletic.

 

It was real bad in the first quarter, like all they could get were free throws. Then all the Wolves were playing far from him and their offense opened. Wolves play real physical defense and it feels like Shai just gets those call every single time, then they get frustrated.

Then their defense packs the paint so they have to kick out to shooters, and they all were ass outside of Randle. Just became a really frustrating game to watch, they need to figure out how to attack that defense better but don't think they're going to get calls like Shai does if they drive into it, so it might all come down to shooting.

momentum seems more real in basketball than other sports but even if you take out the 11 FTs he made the wolves still lose by double digits

No one is arguing that they didn’t dominate the Wolves in the second half obviously. They had to adjust and they could hit a shot

 

I admittedly have a soft spot for Brunson for obvious reasons (he should still be a Maverick) but yeah, the foul baiting is tough
