tldr I always thought Giannis would stay put and it’s still weird as a non-bucks fan

 

giannis is not going to ask to be traded, i do think they could still get a good enough offer for him and they could pull the trigger, but he isnt going to implicitly tell them to trade him.

 

i know pat is heels-dug-in 'theyre trading him' but i lean more towards drews side that i still think he's a buck opening night.

i think next season is his last in milwaukee if they dont win another championship.

unless giannis comes back like "i only want to go to New York or LA" I don't see a scenario where he's on the team next year. i also don't think he will do that since he wants to win a title and two of the new york/LA teams would push him further away from a title by trading for him, one of the others is asset poor, and the other might be in the finals as is. if there is a remotely open market for him, he will be traded. it will require him making a public trade request with an unreasonable list of destinations for him to remain a buck

 

i realize that sounds counterintuitive lol but it is not

i do think okc wins the series but the first shoulder from julius randle is gonna cave in chet’s chest

 

look I don't like freakishly skinny people either but people are weird about chet's frame

his only major injuries have been kinda freak accidents!

 

i wasn’t saying that he’s going to get injured just saying randle is a brick shithouse who plays very physically and chet struggles in the paint against less physical competition than randle
