I mean it's bleak for sure and yeah I think it's kind of dumb to wait for another year older Dame coming off an achilles and Giannis to see if that can work - it doesn't work.

I really have no idea what they'll do but I'm just thinking of it from a business standpoint of not tanking the financials for the team next season haha

 

Giannis will never ask for a trade - he'll wait out the remaining two years of his contract and sign with another team before that happens.

but it's up to Horst and the front office to figure out what's best long term for the Bucks.

 

to be fair, i don't think the bucks not trading giannis = them having a plan to contend.

i think everyone agrees the smart move is to trade giannis if youre even remotely invested in the future of this franchise but, i ultimately think their asking price is either gonna be TOO high for teams to stomach or, they simply will send all calls to voicemail and refuse to even consider it because he is who he is and what he means to them and the city.

i think you're looking at another season of mediocre to good basketball from them, 45 wins or so, and another trip into the playoffs as a 5 or 6 seed.
