Trae for KCP, Mo Wagner, Goga, and Black or Anthony works from a salary perspective.

I think the Hawks should be building around Daniels, Johnson, Okongwu, and Risacher, anyway. They've gone as far as they'll go with Trae.

I wouldn't hate a Young/Suggs/Franz/Paolo/Carter starting lineup. Depth certainly takes a hit, though.

honestly think we need an offensive threat at C too. Carter just ain’t it. Takes too many questionable shots and misses too many open jumpers from mid-range.

 

Not having Mo Wagner has really hurt offensively, too. He’s their fourth-leading scorer, and the front office didn't do a thing to try and replace him or Suggs' production.

I don't know if the potential offensive boost would offset his defensive shortcomings. Seeing teams hunt Cole Anthony in switches for years gives me pause.

 

Don't forget his pump fakes. I'm not sure I've seen a single defender bite, but they keep coming. He was theoretically a better fit last year when he was shooting over 35% on threes, but he's gone off a cliff this year. His rebounding has been better late in the year, at least.

 

i’ll take an 11 point game with giannis having 8 points shooting 30%. he’ll shoot better and get to the line more. the threes are falling and that’s what matters
