I don’t have much issue with Lauri or Randle winning it. They were both 7th overall but it took them until their 6th & 7th seasons to make an all-star team

A lottery pick making a massive leap to an all star caliber player is a good candidate. Or someone like Zu playing great despite not being an all star.

I think there’s a layer of expectations at play, where higher picks have to improve more drastically, but top 3 picks would have to go from total bust to MVP candidate IMO.

I’ll be mad if Cade wins it. If Anthony Bennet put up this Cade season he’d deserve it tho.

Yesterday was pretty much exactly what I expected the Boston/Orlando series to look like. They played pretty good defense all game, but the non-Paolo offense was rough. I love Franz, but at this point his inconsistent play in pressure games is getting a little worrying. His three point shooting has been broken for the last two years, but he was struggling to make stuff near the rim that he typically hits. They obviously need better shooters, but I'd really like to see them add an offensively-minded assistant to Mosley's staff and institute some sort of actual system. The "read and react" stuff just isn't working, and it's time they own that.

yeah, at the end of the day everything that has happened falls at his feet. Instead of hiring the right people that could come in and run things for him, he blew it up, and his legacy (warts and all) is completely tarnished. Dude spent over 20 years putting out a great product (11 straight 50 win seasons, 2 finals appearance, 1 championship, 21 years of Dirk) that was affordable for families to go and enjoy. All of that completely gone.
