The whole playoffs should be like that, honestly (and the whole regular season for that matter).

I want healthy teams. I want players well rested. I want the teams to have time to practice and prepare/adjust.

Three games a week is plenty.

I broke my own rule and started posting in this thread. That’s on me.

 

All season I have not trusted Cole with the ball. I'll admit he catches fire some games, but then he just starts getting cocky with some terrible choices. And he complains all game to refs and reviewing plays. I do say though without him this season we would have lost a few as he took complete control. Nice that WCJ has showed up the last few games, same for JI. Makes their value a little better in the offseason. This summer we need to extend Paolo and Mo, but also find some shooting and a real PG. I used to be more sold on DaSilva over Black, but the second half of the season has changed that opinion. And for gosh sakes lets dump Harris.

Late to this conversation, but the play in is fun. In terms of fairness, sure I get that, but the league also has uneven strengths of schedule so the regular season is never truly fair to begin with. It makes the last few weeks of the season matter a little more too. Sure, this year there is a pretty large gap between the 8 seed and the 9 seed in the west, but the last few years there’s been very little room between the 8 and the 9 (and even the 10) just in the west.

 

The biggest problem I’d like to see adjusted in the playoffs is the 1 v 8 first round series. It is almost always a snooze. Change it up to be varied length. Basically, for the higher seed, make it best of five, for the lower seed best of seven. If the 1 gets to three games first, the series is over. If the lower seed gets to three games first, they have to win a fourth game to advance. It’s convoluted, but raises the stakes in those first two games and would save us from some boring, unnecessary four games or gentlemen’s sweeps. It also gives teams more of a reward for winning the conference.

My guess is Celtics in 5 with a frustrating loss at home because for some reason they are like 10x better on the road lol
