Trade both and just suck ass for the next few years, especially with how stacked the western conference is. You know Beal will opt into his PO so just angle for some pick assets and maybe free agency next summer

giannis' 2025 player option was waived or removed as part of his new contract, right? meaning he is back for 25/26 and then unless they work out another contract UFA in 2026?

 

the smart thing would be to trade both KD and Book for as many assets as possible, ride out the Beal contract, and just be terrible for a few seasons

 

spotrac has a $62 mil player option for 27-28 then UFA

got it. i just don't see him being the guy who requests a trade. if they stink up the joint the next few years and they don't at least get back to the finals yeah he probably walks, but i dont think he will leave before the contract is up.
