My thought exactly. What is this going to accomplish? Maybe get a head start on hiring but if anything it’s just going to be a distraction for players and maybe make them mad/upset.

 

Denver is a Trae or Ja trade away from completing the Bucks arc

Whoa! I understand giving Booth the can, but Malone is a shocker.

 

The team doesn't need to be blown up, but they need to finally get serious about their bench and depth. It's not Malone's fault that Aaron Gordon has missed nearly half the season, he may not put up all-star numbers, but he is a true difference maker for this team. It's also not Malone's fault that Jamal Murray is a complete shell of what he used to be.

I blame Booth for most of their misfortunes as he's handed out atrocious contracts and never got serious about the bench. It's nice to have young guys to develop, but you can't rely solely on that, you need to have key veterans on the bench (and we did when we won the title).

Now, I do blame Malone a bit that he got too skiddish with the young guys and derailed Peyton Watson and Julian Strawther's development. He was too quick to yank them from the rotation when they made a mistake and that destroys their confidence.

Any Nugs fan knew this day would come with both Booth and Malone, they despised each other. It's lame as hell that they fired Malone imo because he made it well known he wasn't happy with the makeup of the roster, so to fire him first and THEN to ALSO fire Booth is galaxy brain level incompetence from the Kroenke's. I think Malone deserved a chance with a different GM but that's not usually how it goes so what can ya do

Whoever ends up facing Denver in the first round, I'd hire Malone as an assistant instantly for the LOLz
