yeah, I think the NBA may have their priorities a bit fucked on what they punish guys for and their whole process for suspensions.

25 games feels too harsh here. If he was a repeat offender or some shit then sure.

I get there’s a chance for dependency and abuse but the dude wasn’t doing blow or shooting growth hormone

 

Yeah it seems the assistant was most at fault, giving him some of their own prescription apparently not knowing it was a narcotic.

I'd imagine it will be appealed and reduced.

That would be a pretty bananas diagnosis to use to shut him down

 

mentioning it is isolated seems like a weird thing to just throw in there but it also allows the team to be more cheap, preventing him from the incentives of winning a defensive player of the year and presumably one of the three all nba teams

 

I really don’t think the spurs are the type of organization to shut him down just to not pay incentives. They aren’t owned by Jerry Jones. And I don’t think Wemby is the type of dude to not want to compete. I also don’t agree that they already know this is just an isolated incident though… how could you know so soon?
