I’m choosing to feel encouraged by tonight's Magic win, even if it was a shorthanded Charlotte team. Paolo's defensive effort was better, and he's slowly rounding back into form offensively. He had 24/8/6, including going 4/9 from three. They only shot 14/43 from distance as a team, but that's both several points higher than their historically-low season numbers, and somehow better than the Hornets.

 

The Bulls have been trying their hardest to fall out of the play in but Philly just won’t oblige.

I’d imagine the whole Jimmy situation did not help and made preparing more difficult. But Spo needs to reassess what he’s doing. There was that terrible timeout call when they didn’t have any and it cost them the game, he is sitting Bam and Herro to start fourth quarters when they have consistently been giving up runs to the opponent in second halves, etc.

I hope having a few days off will let the whole team reset but I don’t if anything while change this season. I’d imagine nothing is going to happen until the offseason.

Man these guys play their asses off and Kyrie is doing everything he can. I’m concerned that he can’t sustain these minutes the rest of the season though. Ultimately they feel locked in and are hard not to root for. Sucks things went down the way they did but they are still fun to watch and this is with a significantly depleted group
