I remember going to a Spurs game where the Mavs just absolutely got destroyed. And the fans came down from Dallas in pretty large amounts. And of course trash talking after the game saying things like “it’s ok, we got the Cowboys” and things like that. Everyone was like hey that’s our team too!

It's funny having lived in both San Antonio and now living in Houston how Cowboys are basically a statewide institution.

I know this isn't really anything serious, but Morey should explore what they could get for PG. I'm also not completely sold on a Maxey + McCain backcourt, and the latter would be a pretty great sweetener.

Pelicans, Hawks, Spurs, Warriors, and Kings would all make some sense. I'm not sure if anyone would want to take on PG's contract + injury risk, though.

The less Orlando puts Paolo in situations where he's bringing the ball up and dancing on the perimeter, the more effective he'll be. This is why they need a true PG, someone who actually initiates the offense and gets it to Paolo and Franz in their spots, rather than them playing iso all the time. Though, that's also just a problem with the modern NBA in general.

 

Cole Anthony is so frustratingly streaky. Though, he's been playing well in losses, but earlier this year when Orlando was winning he couldn't get off the bench. It feels weird to write Orlando and winning in the same sentence. They're now 1-9 in their last 10.

 

I have this feeling that Paolo is going to get pushed out the door and not re-sign since the FO isnt helping him out. Going to be another situation where we lose a star (Shaq and Dwight), more so Shaq.

 

Current word is Miami will consider pivoting to trading Jimmy to whoever will take him if they can't get a deal done with Phoenix, apparently Golden State would be in the mix for that. Have fun to whoever gets him if that happens lol.
