So many threads and rabbit holes from this.

- who’s gonna want to come to Dallas now and trust what this GM does/says

- wrecking/ruining a generation of fans

- people pissed and no longer going to games or buying merchandise

- not even having any pieces to build around or look forward to in the future

- what happens with Kyrie (does he go batshit again)

 

kyrie will be fine lol his game works better with AD. this is an insane trade for the lakers but we don't have to do that.

 

Said it earlier, I genuinely think the new owners want this team in Vegas. Easier to get buy in from the league when the franchise sucks ass, has no fans, and needs a new start

 

At this point I don’t really care if this miraculously gets us over the hump.

 

there will be a new team in vegas, it sure as shit isn't going to be the mavs moving there lol. come on.

 

feel like it is easier just for an expansion team for Vegas over completely moving another team there, I just think mavs brass have rocks for brains for this move lol

 

I mean, why not? The owners want to create a gambling resort with a new arena and I can almost guarantee that’s not gonna happen in Texas.

 

the vegas team will be an expansion team. the seattle team will be relocated but I don't think dallas is the target. it'll be a Memphis or a NOLA.

 

at the end of the day it's the only thing I can make sense of considering the context clues once Cuban sold to the Adelson's and what they immediately said their vision was for the future of the Mavericks.

I’ve heard on a few podcasts today that the new owners are or want to build a casino in Dallas next to the stadium which has people confused why they would trade Doncic for basically nothing when that would keep people coming to the games/area

I’ve also heard it referenced that the max contract Doncic would be eligible for “is the equivalent of them (the owners) pulling a one dollar bill out of a wallet with 1,000 dollars in it”, essentially confirming that money isn’t an issue/concern for them

I'm sure he did. Cuban would've said absolutely fucking not, but here we are.

 

the main issue here in their vision is gambling is still illegal here and there's no indication it will be legal anytime soon.
