They should still do a major trade to make the team better for next season and beyond

 

Sixers/Nuggets was really fun tonight. Jokic was just too good down the stretch.

Sixers need to build around Maxey going forward with younger, reliable players and figure out how to keep Yabu beyond this season.

I'm really hoping Orlando does something this week, because their flaws have been exposed repeatedly of late, especially on the offensive side. They're currently 30th in 3 point percentage, on pace for the 4th worst figure of all time and the worst in over a decade. They clearly can't shoot well, and yet they've been hovering around the middle on attempts all year. Herein lies a chicken/egg situation where you ask if they'd be better off changing their offense, or if the current roster's limitations prevent them from playing another way, as poor as the current results may be. They're adamant in running their offense through Paolo and Franz, but they surround them with such poor shooters that opponents can constantly bring doubles or play zone. And they rarely run any semblance of an offense outside of "let Paolo/Franz cook." That’s why they're dead last in pace. Paolo wanted a PG this summer, so instead they signed KCP and moved Suggs out of the position he does best in. Weltman is obsessed with continuity to the point that he refuses to make any trades of consequence, and instead keeps re-signing guys and "evaluating ". There was no reason to extend Wendell, and now he's ineligible to be traded til the summer and shooting 19% from distance. And now there's a good chance the front office will use the rash of injuries as an excuse to keep evaluating instead of taking a chance.

 

Pretty sure no one associated with the Heat said the flight was delayed, just that he wasn’t there lol.
