  2. Seattle Seahawks select Andrei Iosivas, WR, Princeton

6’4” track star that will be hyped after he lights up the combine. He needs a little work but if he develops well it’d be pretty unfair to have him and DK.

  7. If we get through this round I'd say it's a pretty good run for mock 1.0

Might snipe @CarpetElf here but, the Ravens need secondary help.

While I do think Humphrey and Peters can be solid CBs together if they’re ever both healthy… the slower / older your corners, the more you need athleticism and range at the safety position. They already knocked the free safety position outta the park last draft with Kyle Hamilton. But strong safety Chuck Clark is MID as hell and he represents cap savings if the Ravens choose to cut him.

Ravens select Sydney Brown, SS, Illinois

stupidly athletic safety who was clocked at 22 mph a couple times. While he didn’t play against the best college QBs, 6 INTs + 16 run stops shows you he has a versatile skillset. Ravens gonna have some fun calling defense with two rangy safeties who are interchangeably good at playing the pass and playing in the box… flipping plays from frontside to backside ain’t gonna help you bro

There are other positions I could’ve targeted. But THIS is how you slow down the Bengals deep passing attack.

Peters is also an impending free agent, for whatever it's worth

Only way I would trade Lamar is if the Rams sent me Stafford AND Ramsey lol

Or the Bears can send me Fields and Carter lol

I have no idea who to pick for the Vikings. Idk who these prospects are anymore

  12. best defensive player available?

Give me the best available defensive lineman. I imagine they're going to cut Za'Darius Smith (my dad, who is a Vikings fan, said Smith put his house in the area up for sale so it seems he's on the outs to save cap space) and Dalvin Tomlinson's contract is voiding this offseason.

It's amazing how much Deshaun Watson is factoring into the Lamar question. Does he deserve fully GTD? Watson got it. Is he gonna sit out the franchise tag? Watson sat out and sucks ass. What's the comp look like? Cleveland gave up X for Watson and he's a wicked rapist. Lamar is way less of a problem.

  17. I think Lamar should get his money but I also disagree with using one team's moronic decision as weight in an argument. Lamar deserves a monster contract, but giving him fully gtd money when he is injured every season? I understand why the Ravens are hesitant. And I don't think that makes them greedy owners or ungrateful for what Lamar has done for them.

It's like in the NBA with the stupid Gobert trade. Teams are going to try and use that as the new standard for when they trade their star player. "If Gobert gets that much then we want X more picks". That won't work.

I agree that you can’t just straight up compare to another player but it IS an argument they make when negotiating contracts

also, Lamar’s risk of injury is exactly why he wants the guaranteed deal. It gives the Ravens an incentive to protect him and not just make him be both a QB AND the team’s leading runningback and take all that abuse without giving him insurance for health issues that will likely get progressively worse with that workload.

right now Lamar is still trying to prove to the Ravens and the league that he is a QUARTERBACK and is not limited as a passer. It has been the narrative since he was drafted that he’s not a true franchise QB because he can run (???) instead of the actual truth being represented, that he has way too much talent throwing and reading defenses to just treat him like he’s only valuable up to age 26/27 like a RB is.

The issue more so is that he was thrown into the fire in a Greg Roman ass shitty passing offense with no healthy receivers and is expected to play hero ball like that. It happens everywhere Roman goes, he runs the ball extremely well but the guy simply does not know how to use opponents’ coverages against them to create natural separation. And honestly the Ravens getting greedy / selfish with how much they are relying on him to run. You don’t see teams treat white quarterbacks like that. They treat them like their body is the future. (Ok I guess not Andrew Luck lol)

I mean, if the Ravens wanna lose their star QB over being stubborn and go through the process of finding a new one, they're more than welcome to. It certainly hasn't gone poorly for any other AFC contenders that I can personally think of. No way. No issues here. I'm not mad.

Ideally the Bengals or the Jags are also stubborn about GTD money and Kraft is bored and says "fine, deal, 100% GTD" lol

I was spoiled by 20 years of Tom Brady and then shellshocked to see how the other side lives. I don't like it. Tax the poor. Gimme.
