Were the mariners serious contenders for him at that time? I have only a vague recollection of the hype leading up to his signing, though I suppose with the Ichiro connection, it makes sense that there would have been rumblings.

 

It seemed like basically all the west coast teams except the As were in on him to varying degrees. I have the Giants and Mariners in my head as the two other teams that were closest to getting him but my memory could be wrong

I love noodles. I love chili. I love copious amounts of cheese. Something in my head will not allow me to think that looks appetizing lol.

Just bought tix to see the juvenile bears play tomorrow and Stroman is pitching, so yay?

That’s the thing tho: the baseline for anything with that much cheese is pretty high. But it makes you wonder what the cheese is covering up and folks I’m here to tell ya that what lies beneath is nothing to write home about. Haven’t had it in a decade and haven’t had any meat chili in like 7 yrs tho so imma step off this soapbox now lol
