I hate having Marc Topkin as a beat writer most times but I think it was an article of his where he points to the “12 year old is told he’s going to be a baseball god” and is kept in a bubble throughout his formative years and lacking education/maturation which starts to touch on an actual, potential problem with the way mlb operates with their international camps
