Ohtani news is funny as hell

 

70 million dollars a year is such an insane stat.

Dodger Stadium holds 56,000 people. They get 81 home games, so that is 4.5 million ticket sales a year. Throw in 10 or so playoff games, and you're looking at around 5 million tickets sold every year.

Granted, ticket sales are certainly not the only way to make money. But its wild to think they could sell out every game, go all the way in the world series, take $10 from every ticket they sell... and it still wouldn't cover his yearly salary.

I find it hilarious that JP Hoornstra was hired by Dodgers Nation to cover the Dodgers less than a week ago, then was the 1st to report about him going to the Blue Jays and continued to even today. Dude has zero credibility now similar to Jon Morosi
