Soto for Dominguez, straight up (no)

 

I for one cannot wait for Juan Soto, a famously patient hitter, to play for the Yankees and their famously impatient fans. If yall thought the last couple Yankees teams took too many pitches...

 

I think Yankee fans are falling peril to andy martino tweets about uniform numbers. Anything can happen but everything i continue to see from multiple places paint the Mets as the favorites by miles. I wouldnt consider my offseason a failure by getting Soto and not getting a guy we werent favorites for anyway.

 

I guess I should qualify that better, Cohen can obviously throw money around, so if he ends up giving Yamamoto an insane contract, I can't fault the Yankees for not going to crazy town just to beat him, but if we get out bid by a couple million, I'll be very upset

And RE: Soto, I fully expect him to get booed into the dugout within the first couple weeks of the season, but some of our irrational fans also booed Judge days after he broke the AL home run record during an MVP season....we're (they're, I didn't boo him) insane people

the real question I have is why would ohtani consider going back to the angels

 

Ohtani going back to the Angels would be the actual dumbest thing of all time

 

I don't know why I've never thought it was out of the realm of possibility like some people have. Maybe it's just a courtesy on his part, but the fact that they're still in on trying to get him says that there's something he likes about being an Angel. He's not going to win there, but he is the biggest star over there and if they pay him truck loads of money, maybe that's enough for him

I'd still put the Dodgers as number 1 to get him, but Angels might be my number 2 bet.
