I like him a lot and sure wouldn't mind if they could bring him back to be their Brett Gardner on a one year or something. Idk what he'll command but any kind of long term would clearly be Ellsbury or Hicks kind of bad

 

Good chance at gold glove too, I think only one person rates better in all of baseball and I don't think they'll give the award to the pedo

I'm not sure Gardner is even Bader's ceiling anymore. I still absolutely love the kid but Gardner was capable of giving you 650 PAs of above-average offense most years of his career on top of the glove. I'm not convinced Bader can do that sadly.

But who knows maybe a month at great american smallpark with the Reds will rejuvenate his bat

He'll always be tantalizing though, like last year in the playoffs when he hit 5 HRs in 35 PAs while playing amazing defense. When he's on he's ON

Oh no Gardner is much better, but just like the level Gardner played at his last few years and was needed when the outfield would routinely all be injured at the same time lol
