Nothing against him, but it seems like forever since he's been good. Much like McCutchen. Like, you can make a HOF argument for most of these guys. Longoria is an easy no.

  17. Makes sense. His peak was so good but you’re right that it’s way in the rear view now

I think 9 of those guys could drop dead tomorrow and they’d be hall of famers at some point (Trout, Kershaw, Verlander, Greinke, Freeman, Betts, Scherzer, Votto, Cabrera), another 3 just need a couple more non-shit seasons to do it (Goldschmidt, Altuve, Harper), 3 others are long shots but possible (Ramirez, Machado, Arenado), and the next 5 have no shot (your bottom 5)

  18. DooDooBird

Yeah, I feel like my top 15 all could be HOFers and the bottom five are definite nopes. Chris Sale, I don't know what it is but I fucking hate that guy. Prob the bizarre uniform cutting episode and the fact he's only played on teams I care nothing about.

  19. He’s a child, he hasn’t been good at baseball in 5+ years, he plays for Boston, I don’t need other reasons lol. Dude sucks. The jersey thing is at least funny on one level but the smashing tvs in the minor league clubhouse when you’re on a rehab assignment is very much not

RIP Red Sox. Season was kinda fun but also miserable? Here is to hoping they do anything in the offseason

Yup would have been fun to see what they could have done but there were just too many injuries and their schedule from mid August to the end of the year is insanely difficult.

Definitely more positives than negatives this season. Casas is legit. Yoshida looks likes he’s going to be a solid regular. Duran might have made major adjustments and has shown he can be an Ellsbury like player. Bullpen was solid. Crawford was good. Bello took steps forward in his 2nd year. The farm system is rebuilt.

They need to do something about the defense and need to get an ace and another solid SPer. There were too many question marks with the rotation heading into this year and that’s what ended up hurting them the most again. Can’t depend on Sale and Whitlock staying healthy for a full year. I think Bloom will be busy this offseason between spending money on one of the Japanese pitchers and trading an OFer and prospects.
