Gotta stand up for your team but the rays played it smart by not playing into the beaning game. Can’t afford to have any suspensions down the stretch. Benches clearing gives you a chance to get on the field and say your piece to the opposition.

Umpires are the ones to blame considering their unwillingness to hold the Yankees accountable by not issuing warnings early on. Yankees hit 12 rays in the season series vs 2 Yankees hit by rays pitching. Whole Yankee nation needs to take a breather and just let this one go.

I can't imagine there's been another season where you had three teams like the Padres, Mets and Yankees underperform so badly

 

Owners are certainly going to point to those 3 teams when they don’t spend money this winter for sure.

 

I do think even if all ownership groups were willing to invest in their clubs we’d still see a big drop in spending this offseason, at least FA spending. This years class is just utter dogshit, it’s like Ohtani, Nola, and a bunch of meh guys

i personally think the Padres are significantly better than their record indicates and they will bounce back hard next year. theyre in the upper half of most statistical categories. this isn’t like a Yankees situation where they have awful offensive numbers across the board. it’s honestly a little weird they are as bad as they are. they even have a +53 run differential.
