bogaerts, jd martinez, michael wacha, eduardo rodriguez, kyle schwarber… both teams have a pretty solid list of guys they have let walk. the difference is that the dodgers just keep on winning, while the red sox are on the outside looking in the last couple years.

media doesn’t really view fondly of teams becoming more financially responsible, and fans absolutely do not love it because it usually means letting go of favorites (betts, bogaerts). it also typically does lead to a worse overall roster.

 

Also the Dodgers continue to win, and if they let guys go it’s because they have players coming in or will spend big to replace them. The Sox of the past four years make these moves to cut costs with no real sense of direction (see: the past 2-3 deadlines). Like I get the tweet, haha very funny, but it’s fairly disingenuous.

the game I’m suppose to go to next weekend has Kershaw pitching and god now I need to be there but tickets are expensive

I’ve only started watching regularly this year and even I can tell the Rays are getting hit way too often by Yankees pitchers

 

I can’t even make any good jokes at the Rays expense cause this disaster of a team doesn’t deserve them.
