I think fWAR is a little more accurate for pitchers, as bWAR can dramatically overrate some SPs who have good seasons with high volumes (hellllloooooo 2018 Aaron Nola and his 9.7 bWAR vs 5.5 fWAR). Otherwise I stick to the foolish baseball rule of “the best version of WAR is the one that better supports your argument”

I will always use fWAR for catchers tho because it makes Yadi goated lol

 

Could be worse as far as middle IFers go, y’all could have traded FOR Kolten Wong and his .162/.244./.229 line instead of trading him away

DeJong will hit some bombs, would probably do it a bit more at Miller/American Family whatever, and he plays decent defense. But he’s gonna be a black hole on offense most days with a billion strikeouts, dude Ks almost 30% of his PAs even this year in the slight bounce back. And if that’s what you want from an infielder it’s probably better to just call Keston Hiura back up (although it looks like he’s currently absolutely crushing it at Nashville so maybe should do that anyway??)

 

Also the amount of replies to that Morosi middle IFer tweet that are Detroit fans saying some variation of “please take Javy Baez” is very funny to me
