Okay but confession I was talking to my buddy who’s a dodgers fan about the weird two months Machado was a Dodger literally earlier this week. And he was talking about the return for LA in the trade and I was reminded dude existed since he was in our system for several years before that as a AAAA type. So not as impressive with context, lotta luck, but I’ll take it haha

i also literally have no memory of him at all, seems like his peak was while i was a literal baby and before i really formed any concrete baseball memories outside of Sosa hitting dingers

 

My dad has a baseball in storage that I got signed by about 10-12 players on that 1999 or 2000 team when they came to visit my boys and girls club in Sarasota. I’m pretty sure I remember him signing it at the time along with Dan Wheeler! Woo
