Senga is dominating with 10 k's thorugh 6 innings and the offense can't score.

It's like a classic deGrom game!

Immaculate Grid.... how the FUCK did Nolan Ryan never win a Cy Young?!?!?? That's gonna screw a lot of people today.

Really hope the home run derby doesn’t fuck with Robert too much and he loses all the power and the swing he’s had all year. He’s the only dude producing for the white Sox night in and night out.

preparing myself for a july and august where the mets give me hope only to absolutely implode 2nd week of september as the giants start 0-2 to make me really hate my teams.

Nolan Ryan never won a cy young because he’s just a stat accumulator who lasted a long time and was never actually that great

okay but I bet you’ll still be able to enjoy the schadenfreude as the Aaron Rodgers Jets Experience inevitably does NOT go well

Nolan Ryan is like a significantly better Jamie Moyer. Pitched forever with a rubber arm but threw much harder than Moyer

Still really good and valuable but just doesn’t hold a candle to any of the truly great pitchers. Ryan does not have a particularly impressive peak, just (like you said) accumulated and never broke down

Regardless of longevity, 7 no hitters is still a crazy feat! Not saying that warrants him to be in the conversation as some of the all-time greats. Just that it seems like one of those unlikely (but not impossible) to be duplicated stats.

I still remember watching Pedro in just prime and how every time he took the mound it felt like an automatic win with potential to see a no hitter/perfect game. The loud groans at Fenway when he would give up a hit before let’s say the 5th inning would always be funny to me.

we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

Going way back here, but was just looking at box scores and saw the blue jays had a Bichette-Biggio—Belt double play and it made me think of the 3 killer AB’s that played for Houston back in the day. I think it was Bagwell-Biggio-Bergman.
