As with every year since I cared, I’ve got things I missed that almost certainly would’ve ranked up there. Not gonna list those gaps, though, for the same reason I ain’t waiting ‘til sometime in January to make my list: who cares, y’know? This is all meaningless, lol. I only do these as a snapshot of my movie watching over the course of a year, as I change calendars and look both back and forward.

Anyways, here’s some cinematic shit that I dug in one way or another, in a numbered list to reflect my gut feelings as of right now:
    1. Poor Things (Yorgos Lanthimos)
    2. Barbie (Greta Gerwig)
    3. Priscilla (Sofia Coppola)
    4. Oppenheimer (Christopher Nolan)
    5. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 (James Gunn)
    6. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, Justin K. Thompson)
    7. Polite Society (Nida Manzoor)
    8. Killers of the Flower Moon (Martin Scorsese)
    9. Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret (Kelly Fremon Craig)
    10. Asteroid City (Wes Anderson)
    11. Shin Kamen Rider (Hideaki Anno)
    12. M3GAN (Gerard Johnstone)
    13. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem (Jeff Rowe)
    14. Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One (Christopher McQuarrie)
    15. Soulmate (Min Yong-geun)
    16. The Marvels (Nia DaCosta)
    17. Suzume (Makoto Shinkai)

Very late list. I held off thinking I would see more things, but not a lot that I've been excited for has hit streaming in an affordable way and I'm not trying to go to a theater. Still very excited for Godzilla, Zone of Interest and Iron Claw. Mildly curious about Poor Things. I'm sure there's plenty that weren't even on my radar that I would love.

  16. As usual, I didn't get a chance to see a lot of the art/indie films I would have liked to before years end. That said, it was a good year for movies and tv overall. Rather than throwing in movies like KotFM and Asteroid City, my honorable mentions are movies that I don't see get mentioned as much. Same goes for tv.

    Movies:
    1. Across The Spider-Verse
    2. Oppenheimer
    3. Guardians of the Galaxy 3
    4. Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning

Honorable Mentions: How To Blow Up A Pipeline, They Cloned Tyrone, The Passenger, Rye Lane, Birth/Rebirth.

    TV:
