Invites have gone out check your emails! I haven’t touched settings yet so ignore those. We’ll vote on what we want but I’d certainly expect categories etc will basically be the same as last two years
Wanna start talking rules? Etc. I liked what we had last year. The amount of transactions a week was good. I guess we could do 6 playoff teams
Okay here are my thoughts on rules, but please speak up I want to do whatever the majority wants. Can bust out some polls if needed. 1) The default number of transactions per wk in Yahoo is 6--last year I believe we had 4 per wk? Any objections to that? And then no cap on number of total transactions per season beyond that. 2) I think the 2 days of waiver that's default is fine. But I would prefer just giving people 1 day to protest a trade rather than the standard 2 to allow things to move more quickly. I also think 8/12 of us should vote no on a trade for it to be blocked. 3) I prefer 6 playoff teams definitely, but could be convinced to do 4 I guess. 4) Payout: playoffs winner gets $200, second and third place get their money back? Zero strong feelings here, the buy-in is $20 because that's the poll option that won and it looks like basically everyone voted. 5) Okay the big one imo: categories. I'm not gonna go full nerd mode I swear (e.g. I don't wanna do RBIs but we will, it's a fantasy standard) but I have some thoughts. What if we did: >R, HR, RBI, SB, SO(-), BA, OBP, SLG >W, SV, HR(-), H, ERA, WHIP, K/BB, QS 6) I have just one tweak to the roster spots from the standard, speak up if you have a differing opinion. The change from Yahoo standard is bolded: C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, OFx3, UTILx2, SPx2, RPx2, Px1 (so 5 total active pitchers each day and one can be either a SP or a RP, you choose), 4 IL spots, 5 bench spots Edit: I misunderstood this and am fine with the standard which is: C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, OFx3, UTILx2, SPx2, RPx2, Px4 (so eight total pitchers active per day), 4 IL spots, 5 bench spots That is a ton of pitchers but I guess that's how it always is Second edit: to make this easier, here's a summary of where I propose deviating from the Yahoo standard setup:
Wait hold up I think I misunderstood how the active pitchers thing works and edited the post, just to be transparent
