It's def also mega bad faithy on the Boston media side to be like "HAH! TOM WON A FUCKING SUPER BOWL AND YOU DIDN'T YOU BUM" because i think it's objectively an easier task to find a loaded young team in need of a QB/TE, than it is to replace Tom Brady after a 20 year run where everything was built around his existence lol

I'm thinking about this because of Burning at Both Ends by Set Your Goals... what's another album that was SO BAD that it ended the band entirely?

 

The Big Day by Chance the Rapper is the first (and probably biggest) implosion from a bad record can I think of

 

Young New England didn’t officially end Transit but it might as well have

 

Young New England was good and so was Joyride.

 

In Some Way, Shape, or Form by Four Year Strong ended them for a while (and they should still be ded)

 

That’s fair, I forgot how bad that was received because they quickly ran like hell back to their schtick lol

 

Putting on my scene kid hat again for a minute, Age of Ignorance by Our Last Night was soooo bad that they became a full-on cover band

That was actually the first album I heard from them, bought it after I heard it over the speakers at a hot topic. I don’t hate it but I don’t go back to it at all
