I don’t know what the deal is either. I get that they have to hold it for a certain amount of time in case its owner is looking for it but after that I’m not sure why we can’t just take her ourselves

we stopped at the house Kelsey found the dog at yesterday, and the guy said “yeah the dog’s been there for a few days but we didn’t want to take her to a vet because we didn’t want to be responsible for the medical bills, and the shelter had signs up saying they couldn’t take in more animals” but obviously they could because that’s what happened
