the Panthers’ return package for CMC near the deadline feels like a best reasonable case scenario, in which case I’d rather just keep JT.

 

Was about to share that, but I’ll add this to it:

 

Are they gonna fire ballard?

 

Should have fired that goofball a year ago, or at least this offseason

 

I doubt it — Ballard is acting in Jim Irsay’s checkbook’s best interest. Can’t imagine this would be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

 

Related question for @whitenblue88, how has Shaq Leonard’s play been in recent seasons?

 

Isn’t he injured?

 

year 1 of the extension: ok — the stat line looked better than the play on the field and he was playing hurt for a lot of it
year 2: his back is literally broken and he can’t do anything
year 3: ??? we’ll see but yay he’s at least practicing

mostly expecting him to get cut next offseason if he has anything less than an All-Pro season because he has an All-Pro cap hit coming in the next 3 years (including this one)

 

Ah, I forgot that he’s been dealing with a back problem lately
