Thought for sure that Howie would have been in the market for a DT for less than $20m AAV considering all of the DTs on the roster are on rookie or futures contracts

 

I've had to reshift how I think they approach the rest of FA and the draft

They could add Samuel or Hollywood, one of the better safeties and then move into the draft for one of the top DTs

Well, I'll be honest, this does improve the team more per-dollar than signing Ridley would've. We still need a WR1 for damn sure but that signing opens us up a lot more to potentially take one in round 1 (not gonna get too hype about Aiyuk unless it becomes more concrete). I just wish Baalke would've realized that not signing Gabe Davis was also an option lol

If we do trade for Aiyuk though, our round 1 pick is probably either a corner, Fuaga, or JPJ
