I'm not saying it doesn't make sense. But again, I wouldn't really say we overpaid for Kirk. Without Kirk, they don't make the playoffs two years ago and they definitely don't win 8 games last year. He's been a very good WR for Lawrence and, again, Ridley is a different case. For what Ridley wants, he's not worth it. Age is a factor, performance, etc.

Higgins would be a better option long term than Ridley. He just wasn't worth what he wanted. They can pivot and move on. Now, if you wanna argue they should've negotiated with Allen earlier and tagged Ridley, yeah, for sure.

Would obviously depend on the cost... but I don't hate it if they want to carry 3 QBs with a rookie in the mix.
