But if you backload guarantees for both your best player (Trev) and your second best player (Allen) at the same time just to lower both current cap hits… I could see that creating conflicts that wouldn’t exist otherwise if you just alternated when the bulk of their contracts actually come off the cap. Since Allen costs like half what Trevor will my theory was front load Allen and then backload Trevor when other bad money comes off our books.
